Sweaties in Breslau

Updated: Apr 30

This morning in Wrocław, Poland, I asked my website administrator, Andreas Moser of AMO-Design, to finalize the listing of the first Sweaties in the L-Art Shop. By around 11:00 a.m., the first copies of the Sweaties were available for purchase there. I am offering them at an affordable price for download and subsequent decorative use in one's own living space.

Das Sweatie von Jost Sagasser M.A. mit dem Titel „Opened ring“
The "Opened Ring" Sweatie from Summer 2025

The "Opened Ring" Sweatie

"Opened ring" serves as the initial example of a Sweatie. A noteworthy detail is the fact that the bracelet featured in it has since gone missing I have either misplaced or lost it. Before this occurred, however, I had the opportunity to capture it in a photograph alongside a finger ring I acquired in 2003. I believe this took place in June of that year. The title "Opened ring" was inspired by the arrangement of the two pieces of jewelry within the image.

This artwork draws parallels to my journey to Poland. That journey began on the evening of September 25, 2025. I took the night train from Frankfurt to Legnica the town that was the German home of my father, who was born there in 1922. I arrived in Legnica around 9:00 a.m. In this city which I had never visited before stand many churches and magnificent public buildings; its center is also home to beautiful residential houses dating back to bygone eras. I explored the Silesian city and searched for my father’s childhood home but did not find it and the day before yesterday, I arrived in Wrocław, located approximately 100 kilometers to the east. At first glance, this appears to be a circle coming full circle. Yet, much like the opening of a sweatshirt, that circle remains open partly because revenue for my company, L-art, continues to be scarce.

Another example of a Sweatie is "The Cock". Arising spontaneously from a deliberate arrangement of dietary supplements and my morning dose of neuroleptics, it depicts a phallic symbol. It is this very spontaneity that leads these artworks to be photographically reproduced, each offering an unconventional perspective on life.

Conclusion

With this third product joining Fornos and Vis-mades I aim to further broaden my creative scope and, through this offering, boost my sales as well. In doing so, my perspective on the world takes on yet another artistic dimension. By combining the everyday with glimpses from my own life journey, I reveal something truly unique within these Sweaties. :D Hopefully, more will follow! <3
