Happy new year <3

"Happy New Year", that is the title of today's artwork. After a hike with two friends through the Schweinheim Forest, near my adopted home of Aschaffenburg, I reopened a Vis-made piece I had created back in 2001.

The Vis-made "Happy new year" from November 1, 2025

The title of the Vis-made which featured a slightly different selection of images was "Seafaring." A full twenty-four years later, I added a portrait of my mother, the number "809," and a recent self-portrait set against a green background. Two photographs from a 1997 holiday in Malta were removed from the artwork. A picture of my father standing in front of our antique shop in Berlin taken by me in the spring of 1988 and an elegant, slender-legged lady in a wedding dress now complete the circle formed by the elements of the Vis-made, giving rise to the title "Happy New Year." In my view, this image represents the forward-looking departure from the year 2025; simultaneously, it depicts my origins and, by extension, my roots. By assigning this title, I continue to spin the thread forward, turning my thoughts toward 2026 and the future beyond.

Me on November 1, 2025

I am looking forward to building a life together with my one true love, Judith whom I will be meeting for the very first time in Berlin on November 23, 2025. I am beyond excited for this encounter with the girl who, for the past 20 months, has been setting my home and my heart on fire. I am so amazed by her. :D She is my heart's desire. For several months now, I have been following Judith’s monthly appearances on the talk show "3 nach 9" with incredible enthusiasm, and I eagerly monitor her social media presence on Instagram and Facebook to keep up with what she’s doing. She recently moved to Rügen partly so that she could live there with me. I’m so hot for her. <3

My thoughts are always with her, and hers with me.
